In the winter in Takayama, there are likely to be many days with snow.
If you are coming by car, please check the weather conditions carefully, especially in winter.
If snowfall is expected, please drive safely by using snow tires, tire chains, etc.

3.Kibun-no-niwa is in line with the Kusakabe Folk Museum and the Yoshijima House.

Kibun Garden is located on the same street as the Kusakabe Folk Crafts Museum and the Yoshijima Family Residence.

4.It is a signboard of Kibun.

The garden of Kibun is unmanned, so please unlock and enter.

Check-in is after 16:00. Check-out is at 11:00.
The staff will clean up after 11 o'clock, so please leave before then.
There is no staff present.

6.When you open the front door, there is a dirt floor with a kitchen.
You can enter here with shoes.

7.Enter the entrance and above the fire extinguisher on the right, there is an iPad for check-in.Please check in with this.

*If the screen does not progress well, you can leave it as it is.

*There is a passport photo screen for overseas guests, but Japanese guests should proceed with the regular photo screen.
If the screen doesn't move forward, it's okay to just leave it as it is.

8.There is an information for your stay on the table in the dirt floor.

9.Please take off your shoes on the tatami.

We have 3 pairs of slippers, so please use them when moving between tatami and dirt floor.

10.Since Kibun-no-niwa is an old traditional Japanese house, the ceilings and lintels are extremely low, and there is a step between the corridor and the tatami.

11.We don't have any seasonings

At Kibun no Niwa, we have basic kitchen equipment such as pots and induction stoves, but we do not provide any ingredients or seasonings.
If you need one, please purchase it at a convenience store or supermarket.

12.Floor plan.

There are two tatami rooms separated by shoji screens, and up to six futons can be laid out in total.

13.We lay out the futon in the back Japanese-style room.

Pajamas and amenities such as lotions are not provided, so please bring your own.

14.Fire is strictly prohibited in kibunnoniwa.

Please refrain from smoking on the premises, including the garden and entrance.(Fire alarms are installed in all rooms.)
Open flames are strictly prohibited in the Kibun Garden. As the building is made of wood and is highly flammable, please refrain from smoking or using open flames anywhere on the premises, including the garden and entrance.
(All rooms are equipped with fire alarms. As the property is located in an important cultural property preservation area, the fire alarms are linked to those of neighboring houses.)
If this rule is broken, a fine of 100,000 yen will be charged.
We ask for your understanding in order to ensure the safety of our guests and neighboring residents.

15.Kusa-no-niwa is in a quiet residential area, and the building has a structure that makes the sound very relevant.

Please be quiet so as not to bother the neighbors, especially from 8 am to 7 am.
