This is a traditional Japanese house that can be rented out exclusively for your stay.

The heat subsides a little in September. We'd like to introduce you to some mountains that you can easily visit.


~Mt. Norikura, the easiest 3,000m mountain to climb in Japan~

Mount Norikura is located in the southern part of the Hida Mountains, straddling Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture and Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.
It is a general term for the mountains with Kengamine (3,026m above sea level) as its highest peak.
It has 23 peaks, 7 lakes and 8 plains.

It only takes 15 minutes to reach the top. It's the easiest way to reach the top in Japan.

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes on foot from the Tatamidaira bus stop (altitude 3,026m)

You can enjoy an exhilarating and scenic bus drive above the clouds for about 15 km, connecting Honokidaira at an altitude of 1,684 m to Norikura Tatamidaira at an altitude of 2,702 m.
*Opening period: August 20th to October 31st
The final stop, Tatamidaira, is at an altitude of 2,702m, making it the bus stop with the highest elevation in Japan!


Trivia💡
The view from Takayama looks like a person sitting on a horse's back, hence the name "Norikura" (Norikura).
