In the winter in Takayama, there are likely to be many days with snow.
If you are coming by car, please check the weather conditions carefully in winter.
If snowfall is expected, please take safety precautions such as wearing snow tires and tire chains.

2. Entrance information
The Oak Garden is located in a house across from Kitchen & Bar Halton, on the same street as the Takayama Four Seasons Hotel.
Please check the sign above the entrance.
*There is no parking lot at Oak Garden, so if you come by car, please park in a nearby paid parking lot.

3. How to open the lock
There is a keypad on the sliding door at the entrance.
Press the button with the PIN code that you have been emailed to in advance, then turn the knob to the left to unlock the door.
When you close the door, the lock will close automatically.
Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 11am.
Cleaning staff will come after 11:00, so please leave by then.

4. Entrance
Please take off your shoes when you go up these steps.

5. Check-in
Please check in using the tablet device at the entrance.
*There is a passport photo booth for overseas guests, but Japanese guests are required to bring a driver's license or similar document.
If you are unable to check in and are presented with an iPad login screen or the screen does not advance, please send us a photo via the message on the reservation site.
(As this is an unmanned lodging, we are required by the health center to store guest information.)

6. Information

7. Plan of the "Oak Garden".
There are two rooms on the second floor that can be separated by shoji screens, and on the first floor there is a tatami room next to the entrance that can be used as a bedroom.
Depending on the number of guests, we have up to nine futons in total, seven on the second floor and two on the first floor.
8. Other points to note

Open flames are strictly prohibited in the Oak Garden.
The building is highly flammable,
Open flames and smoking are strictly prohibited on the premises.
*Smoking is also prohibited at the entrance or in the garden.
* Fire alarms are installed in all rooms.

Oak Garden is located in a quiet residential area and the building is a traditional wooden tenement house that is separated from the neighboring houses by only a single wall, meaning that sound echoes easily.
Please be quiet especially between 8pm and 7pm the next day.
